Hello! My name is Justine Ulan.
I received a graduate degree from the University of Alberta in 2017 and I am currently a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta, Canada. I specialize in the delivery of psycho-educational, psycho-vocational, therapeutic, and disability assessments for adults. I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves and identifying recommendations that are tailored to an individual’s unique needs. I am especially interested in working with young adults and post-secondary students who are struggling with ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, and mood disorders. If you have any questions or want to contact me directly, please feel free to email me at justine@www.claritypsychology.ca.
Throughout my professional career, I have completed hundreds of psychological assessments in a variety of settings including a rehabilitation centre, in-patient hospital, and private practice clinics for various purposes (i.e., treatment guidance, vocational support, insurance claims, educational supports, disability funding, academic proficiency, etc.). I began my career working with adults who had disability claims through Workers’ Compensation Board of Alberta (WCB) and have since extended my work to include assessments for Community and Social Services (CSS) and other third-party insurance providers. In addition to my assessment work, I have established a counselling practice, and conducted research that has been presented at Canadian Psychological Association (CAP) conferences and published in an academic journal.
I currently work with adults. I am comfortable assessing the following presenting concerns:
In most cases, I would refer to other professionals for the following issues:
In terms of my personal life, I am passionate about heritage preservation and have renovated a 100-year-old house with my husband. The project taught me patience, to appreciate small victories, and perhaps most importantly: to enjoy the journey. My admiration for historical architecture has recently extended to furniture and I am very proud of my growing collection of vintage chairs. When I am not planning my next home project or thrifting furniture, I can usually be found near water spending my time canoeing, paddleboarding, swimming laps, or reading on the shore.

Clarity Psychology acknowledges that our clinic and staff reside on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional gathering place of Indigenous peoples, including the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene, Nakota Sioux, and others. We acknowledge that these lands were colonised in reprehensible ways. We are committed to continuing acts of reconciliation to repair the harm unfairly forced upon those who are the true stewards of this land.
