Psychoeducational Assessments

A psychoeducational assessment is a formal assessment that addresses a number of possible learning barriers. In most cases, psychoeducational assessments consist of three main components:

  • a cognitive assessment (which includes an IQ test)
  • academic testing
  • a mental health/behavioural component

These assessments provide the most comprehensive evaluation related to learning. They can be used to address and diagnose many possible issues, including ADHD, learning disorders, cognitive delays, anxiety, behavioural issues (e.g., Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder), depression, trauma and related disorders, and other concerns.

Our team has extensive experience providing psychoeducational assessments, as this is the most common type of assessment our office completes. This combination of experience and our high level of education allows us to provide the most beneficial assessment services for you or your child.
